R.R.S. Bransfield

 

As it turned out, I spent a lot of time on the Bransfield. In 78, the main portion of the Palmer Station resupply was carried from Mayport Florida to Palmer by the Bransfield. I took part in the loading of Bransfield in Florida and took part in the off-load of Bransfield at Palmer Station one month later. At the end of our winter, the Hero was going to bring our replacements and take us back to South America. Because of problems with the Hero, the Bransfield brought our replacements and took us back to the Falkland Islands.
